You are the expert when must decide what you value and what your child needs. Whether you choose child care in a licensed/regulated home or a center, remember, child care is a business which you employ.

You have a responsibility to respect:
Their time. (Be on time to pickup your child.)
Their policies. (Know when bills are payable.)
Their opinions. (They've usually had plenty of experience.)

You have a responsibility to question:
Rule violations.
Unsafe practices that affect, or might affect, your child.
What happens when you're not there.
Anything that upsets your child.

You have a responsibility to encourage:
Open communication.
Positive happenings.
Parent involvement.

You have a right to expect:
Compliance with the rules.
Safe, nurturing, good care.
Access at any time during regular hours.
